About Us

Alexis Brann: Owner
Hello, families!

My name is Lexi Brann, I am the owner and operator of Bee Happy Childcare. I understand that you are putting your trust in me to care for your child and although our day is full of giggles and fun; I take this responsibility very seriously.
I share my home with my husband, Jeff, who is a police officer, my son, Braxton, who is a toddler, and our golden retriever, Boone. Our golden retriever is very friendly and is used to being around children; he spends the majority of his day outside of our daycare area.
I am a licensed teacher in the State of Maine and I taught Kindergarten and first grade for a few years before deciding to open my own home nursery.
Bee Happy Childcare is a fully certified home daycare. We have a bright and clean playroom full of activities to keep children engaged. During our indoor play time children may choose to do puzzles, play games, create art, use play dough, dress up, and so much more! Children are able to work individually or play in groups, and choose which areas interest them.
Pre-literacy is highly encouraged through books, music, and art. Your child will listen to daily stories during group time and will explore books they enjoy. We provide a variety of developmentally appropriate toys and activities that promote your child’s cognitive development.
We have a large fully fenced, child friendly yard, equipped with fun and safe playing equipment.
My family daycare meets all the requirements established by the State of Maine Licensing. I look forward to the opportunity to care for your child, while providing a positive influence in their life.
Indoor Activities:
Books and story-time, Legos, circle-time, music and dancing and singing, dress up, play food, interactive stuffed animals, cars/trucks/planes, arts and crafts, puzzles, flash cards, animals/dinosaurs, musical instruments, balls, dolls, various learning toys, bean bag toss, blocks, coloring, painting, science, puppets, play-doh, water tables and sand tables.
Outdoor Activities:
Climbing, sliding, jumping, running, swinging, balls, catch, soccer, bubbles, follow the leader, tunnels, safe water toys, various games, water table, painting, exploring nature/weather, sandbox, outdoor kitchen, ride on toys, and gardening.
As you know, children play hard and will get some bumps and bruises from time to time. I do my best to limit the amount of times this occurs, with constant supervision and watchful eyes. Due to the safe environment and toys I have surrounded ourselves with, I hope to prevent any injuries before they can happen.
During the summer months (June, July, and August) I allow for more outdoor activities and creative art projects. Weather permitting, we play outdoors every day.
Summer: When we play outside, water cups are brought outside and hydrating is encouraged often. Sunscreen is applied frequently and sun hats, baseball hats, or vizors are strongly recommended.
Winter: When we play outside, snowsuits, boots, hats, and mittens are required. The weather will be checked before going out and will be monitored when outside to ensure safety.
